Matt and E were married last Saturday on one of the most beautiful days ever. The weather was perfect. The wedding was gorgeous. The day was simply lovely. I adore that Elizabeth’s family and friends call her E (we call my daughter E too!!)

 

E and her dad had their own special “first look”. It was so lovely. Dad sure was overwhelmed with love!

Matt and his mom just had this BEAUTIFUL moment during their dance. I was fighting back a few tears myself!

Matt and E – Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your lives. May your love grow stronger with each passing day. You truly are a great couple!

I kicked off my “official” wedding season on Saturday with Justine and Phil. I woke up to rain and worried that it would continue for their big day, but we lucked out. The day was lovely in every way. Justin and Phil were such TROOPERS to walk into the only open field we could find after a night of rain (MUD!). Thank you so much Justine and Phil! We had such a great time with you both!!

Jessica and Chris were my first “warmer weather” engagement session of the year. Truthfully, I could have photographed them all night. It felt so good to be back for the season. Jessica and Chris, I can not WAIT for your big day!! Enjoy the preview!!

 

Megan and Joey were married on St Patricks Day. In Wisconsin. And it was 75 degrees. SEVENTY FIVE. Who would have ever dreamed that they would have such a warm and lovely day, but they did. And truly, it could have been ten below and the day would have been just as lovely. Megan and Joey were such a lovely couple. They wrote their own vows, and I have to say, I was definitely wiping tears from my own eyes. It was beautiful. They had a small intimate wedding…. and I just have such a soft spot for these types of weddings. They are so personal and wonderful. I would wish them all the luck in the world (pun definitely intended) but I truly do not think they need it

Megan and Joey were married in the town I live in, Viroqua, WI. I have to give props to all of the amazing vendors. Have you ever thought of being married at the Viroqua Hills Country Club? If you haven’t, you should. It has a small banquet room that is so charming and a blank slate. It looked LOVELY!

Cake: The Cakery and Bake Shop (Seriously some of the best wedding cake I have had. And I am not just saying that because they are in Viroqua either

And now…… the beautiful couple!!!!

Aaron and Sara were married two weeks ago on a crisp winter day. I can not begin to tell you how much I ADORE winter weddings. The light in the winter just seems to be so much softer than any other time of year. And snow can create some beautiful images! Sara and Aaron were a WONDERFUL couple all the way around. They have beautiful and caring families that helped to create a lovely day.

Aaron and Sara, I had so much fun getting to know you and being a part of your day. You are both such caring individuals and will make an even stronger and caring team together. I wish you all of the joy in the world. I feel blessed to have met you.

And also a big thank you to Jessica Sands for second shooting with me very very last minute! Jess, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
