Kelly & Derek | The Wedding – LaCrosse WI Wedding Photography

I had been looking forward to Kelly & Derek’s wedding since last summer when I met up with Kelly and her mom. The minute she said they were skipping wedding cake and having pie! instead, I knew we would get along well 😉 Not to mention that they were getting married in her Grandparents back yard…. where should I sign 😉

Fast forward to the week of the wedding. I woke up with a 103 degree fever, chills, shakes, body aches, and a positive case of strep throat. I was beyond scared that I would not be well enough to shoot. I contacted my dear friend Jen Towner Photography and she agreed to shoot with me, or for me, in the event that I could not get my fever under control. Saturday morning my fever broke, and I was able to shoot!! There was very little hugging, and a LOT of hand sanitizer, advil, and water, but we made it 🙂 And thank God for that! The wedding was incredible. You know those people that you are just naturally drawn to. The people who smile ALL. THE. TIME? That’s Kelly. She smiled the entire day. It was hard NOT to photograph her 😉

Kelly and Derek, I know you will have many happy years together. Have an AMAZING time in Italy!!

And Jen Towner, you are like a sister to me. Thank you for having my back and pushing the fluids all day! You are the best!
