Lisa & Ethan | Married! Viroqua, WI Wedding Photographer

I am not even sure where to start with this post. Lisa was just a little girl when I first met her. A big personality. A loving soul. You see, I used to babysit her. She was the little one who loved to help. I can remember her pulling a chair up to the stove to make grilled cheese sandwiches. When Lisa asked me to document her wedding day, I could not have been more thrilled. I was over the moon meeting Ethan and their sweet baby, Hailee.

I have no doubts about the love that this sweet little family shares. Lisa, the care taker. Ethan, the one who will always make his girls laugh. They balance each other perfectly.

They planned everything perfectly. They had a lovely little spot, outside, to share their vows. And then it rained. And not a little rain. A lot of rain. But Lisa was completely chill. We (and I say this because WE actually did help) moved everything inside and a lovely ceremony took place. Lisa walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. Pretty sure that I was crying behind my big old lens. It could have been her beauty. Or all the love in the room. Or the sight of her Grandpa sobbing as she entered the room. Whatever it was, it still brings me chills.

Lisa, Ethan, Hailee. I had a WONDERFUL time with you. Probably one of the most fun times I have had in a while. I have a feeling that you will always be in stitches over Ethan’s crazy antics. I’d wish you joy and happiness, but I don’t think you’ll need it. You already have so much of it.

HUGS, my friends.

Enjoy!

Lisa’s “something old”. Her grandfathers wedding ring.

The photo above and below were taken at the exact same time. Two completely different eyes/perspectives. My photo above. Phil’s photo below.

Like father, like daughter 😉

Wow, I’m not sure which image gave me the chills more….I adore grandpa crying at the sight of his beautiful granddaughter…how much he must love that girl! The silhouette with the hair lit up so exquisitely is to die for. You are simply amazing, my dear…what a gift you have given this bride! 🙂ReplyCancel
